LA SIESTE (The Nap) – 60 x 60 cm
The body stretches without moving.
She lies there, bathed in the yellow light of sheets and afternoon.
One leg folded, the other slack, glasses in hand like a closed book.
The nap is not quite sleep — but already a letting go.
A suspended space where dreams circle,
and where painting gathers this fragile moment of surrender.

Artistic approach
THE NAP is an exploration of rest, of the body in pause, wrapped in vivid light and warm fabric.
I wanted to capture that subtle in-between: half-awake, half-gone; present, yet drifting.
The young woman, unclothed in spirit, dressed in sun, floats gently on a bed of yellow.
The glasses in her hand hint she was reading, thinking perhaps, before slipping away.
A simple, quiet scene — where anyone might find echoes of their own soft fatigue.
